Soon you’ll hear the rumble of her radial engines and feel the vibrations of the radial engines as our C-45 as she comes to life, just like they did when Army Air Force pilots and navigators trained in the twin Beech AT-7/C-45 aircraft stationed at San Marcos Army Air Field. From November 1942 through September 1945, approximately 10,000 students would graduate the navigation school at San Marcos AAF, before all USAAF navigation training was moved to Ellington Field near Houston, Tx. We hope you’re looking forward to learning more about how this type of aircraft helped win the war.
